Day 1... sort of
LaVieEnRosie — ... And speaking of honeys... I also ran into Heather ~ of Anka's Treasures ~ and her sweetheart of a husband, Joel.  He was laying the floorboards for a beautiful floor for her booth ~ her pictures will be WAY better than mine ~ and joking around.  You know how sweet and cute he is on her blog... another example of how the reality is so much better.  And, yes, his eyes are that blue and his eyelashes are that long.  He says that they're extensions.  Remind Heather that you want her to blog about Joel's dog.   ...

Still on Pittsburgh time...
LaVieEnRosie — ... is the booth of my friend, Monique Dillard, of Open Gate Quilts.  I have no idea where Monique was... or Polly, Ruth or Joyce.  And since I don't remember if this was before Market opened one morning or not, I can't pick on them for that.     This is the Aster Manor quilt in the Moda booth.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I really love this quilt... think I might have to make this quilt.  After mine is finished, of course.   This is Heather Petersen's booth ~ Anka's Treasures.  Her new books are awesome... ...

The master designer behind Whimsicals, we have both been designing fabric for Red Rooster for a few years now so we become booth neighbors quite a few times. They were hiding out in my backroom, Heather, Terry, Linda and Debbie. Check out their fabulous new products by clicking ...

At least 18 of you correctly identified the photo!  Twice as many of you thought it was Sandy, and almost ...

Lucky 7
notes from Terry Ann — Less than 7% of you correctly guessed Sandy Gervais as the cute blond in the picture! Lots of guesses for Heather, Pat, Sherri, and Kari - probably because of those blond curls. Roseann even got a few votes!  I chose the 7th correct guess, so the prize goes out to Leslie Schmidt. Congratulations Leslie!! Just email me your address and I'll send your fabric right away. Here is a picture of how Sandy looks today . . . nope, no resemblance at all, other than the fact that they are both facing the same way! ...

Day 1
LaVieEnRosie —   This is one of my favorite Christmas cards from recent years - it's from an original painting by Susan Winget. Day 2
LaVieEnRosie — ... Christmas is Fisherman's Chowder.  It has been our traditional Christmas Eve dinner for almost as long as we've been baking the pie.  Actually, we make this year-round. Fisherman's Chowder  Served with a green salad and garlic bread - or any good crusty bread - and this is a terrific dinner.  Even folks who aren't overly fond of fish will probably like this. And that's it for today! Don't forget to see what kinds of recipes Terry, Pat, Heather, Pam, Kari, Terri, Sherri, Roseann, ...
